Eaton has announced an upgrade for the TTC fitting line in the 45° and 90° elbows. The upgrade will be from a two-piece brazed nipple to a one-piece bent nipple. Initially only the -8, 45° elbow JIC/SAE 37° female swivel and 90° long drop elbow JIC/SAE 37° female swivel will be affected. For a period of time, you may receive mixed shipments of both the old and new designs. No changes have been made to fitting dimensions or crimp diameters. By changing to a one-piece design we will strengthen the fitting by eliminating a braze joint as well as making these fittings more resilient to impulsing and vibration. Eaton has announced that they will be implementing the same design change on other sizes of the TTC fittings. |
